Missed out on Ed Sheeran tickets? He’s just added more UK dates

Anyone fancy seeing Ed Sheeran live? Missed out on tickets for his 2018 shows when they were first released? Well, it’s worth mentioning that he’s announced new dates for his UK tour next year.

The new gigs will take place in Manchester, Glasgow, Newcastle and Cardiff after his existing dates sold out, obviously.

Tickets for the new dates are on sale right now here.

The new shows are as follows:

Sunday, May 27 – Manchester Etihad Stadium

Sunday, June 3 – Glasgow Hampden Park

Sunday, June 10 – Newcastle St James’ Park

Thursday, June 21 – Cardiff Principality Stadium

For anybody going to see Ed in the UK during his stadium tour, you may need to be a little more prepared than usual.

Strict new rules are in place, requiring attendees to bring a total of four forms of identification, as Ed attempts to fight back against touts.

Meanwhile, earlier this month, Ed’s single ‘Shape of You’ broke the record for the UK’s most streamed track of all time.

It overtook Drake’s ‘One Dance’ with 184 million streams since its release in January, according to the Official Charts Company.

‘Shape of You’ also became the best-selling song of the year so far, followed by Ed’s ‘Castle on the Hill’ in second place, and then by ‘Despacito’ by Luis Fonsi and Daddy Yankee featuring Justin Bieber in third.

With ‘Galway Girl’ in fourth place, Ed was very close to claiming all three top spots.
