Hot off the success of his Spanish track remix ‘Subeme La Radio’, X Factor winner Matt Terry has announced when we can get our hands on his new single.
‘Sucker for You’ is the first single from his debut album and we haven’t got long to wait for it – it gets its general release on October 13 (that’s this Friday).
Matt has co-written the track, which he says is his take on “darker love”.
He said: “We’ve all been in that position when we know a relationship is toxic and not good for us, but sometimes we ignore it and refuse to let go. I wrote this song when I was going through exactly that.
“The lyrics tell a tale of heartbreak, but the melody isn’t sad or depressing – because I’ve come out the other side and I’m happy now.”
And this is just the start for the winner of 2016’s X Factor.
Matt added: “I’m so excited for people to hear my new material. So far people know me as the guy who won X Factor. But when I look back on this time last year, I can’t quite believe how far I’ve come.
“I’m so grateful for where I am now, and I’m happier than I’ve ever been. I can’t wait for the next step in my journey.”
Matt Terry’s ‘Sucker for You’ is released on October 13.

There was a lot of love in the Love Island villa on last night’s show, but one particular scene left viewers really confused.
As night vision cameras filmed Gaby Allen and Marcel Sommerville asleep in bed, fans flocked to Twitter after thinking Marcel had been replaced by a random man. In the scene in question, the former Blazin’ Squad member seems to look TOTALLY different from his usual look…
One viewer shared a snap of the clip to her Twitter account, alongside the photo she wrote, ‘Umm @ITV… where’s Marcel?#loveisland’
Love Island is set to throw the biggest party of the year next Monday night when the final of the show takes place live at the stunning villa in Mallorca.
Caroline Flack will host the show as one lucky couple will be given the chance to win a massive £50,000, however bosses are keeping tight lipped as to whether the final will follow the same as last year’s when Nathan Massey and Cara De La Hoyde scooped the prize.
Carly Rae Jepsen, purveyor of life-affirming pop anthems, has released a brand new song and it’s whipped Twitter users up into a storm.
Appearing on the soundtrack to the movie Leap!, ‘Cut to the Feeling’ is a bombastic cannonball of glitter and ’80s synths, with an unashamedly jumbo-sized chorus that you can’t help but sing along to while walking home from a night on the town.
It’s a song that could easily slip into a Kylie Minogue greatest hits collection and stand tall.
Give it a spin for yourself – just make sure you’ve got enough room for when you involuntarily start waving your arms around in euphoria:
It’s no surprise then that this song was originally recorded for the singer’s 2015 album E•MO•TION, which was full of the kind of giddy pop that used to rule the airwaves before fun was considered uncool.
Fans online are calling it the song of the summer already, and are desperate for the song not to underperform like the album it was recorded for:
We’re not sure if there’s an official petition or movement to get people to #BuyCutToTheFeelingoniTunes but we’re happy to start it right here and now.
If there’s a fanbase who knows anything about spreading the word of pop, it’s Carly Rae Jepsen’s. The epic saxophone intro of ‘Run Away with Me’ gave birth to #RunAwaywithMeme and was, without a doubt, the peak of the now-defunct social media platform Vine.
Did we forget to mention, #BuyCutToTheFeelingoniTunes?
