Carly Rae Jepsen’s new song is the SUMMER JAM!

Carly Rae Jepsen, purveyor of life-affirming pop anthems, has released a brand new song and it’s whipped Twitter users up into a storm.

Appearing on the soundtrack to the movie Leap!, ‘Cut to the Feeling’ is a bombastic cannonball of glitter and ’80s synths, with an unashamedly jumbo-sized chorus that you can’t help but sing along to while walking home from a night on the town.

It’s a song that could easily slip into a Kylie Minogue greatest hits collection and stand tall.

Give it a spin for yourself – just make sure you’ve got enough room for when you involuntarily start waving your arms around in euphoria:

It’s no surprise then that this song was originally recorded for the singer’s 2015 album E•MO•TION, which was full of the kind of giddy pop that used to rule the airwaves before fun was considered uncool.

Fans online are calling it the song of the summer already, and are desperate for the song not to underperform like the album it was recorded for:

We’re not sure if there’s an official petition or movement to get people to #BuyCutToTheFeelingoniTunes but we’re happy to start it right here and now.

If there’s a fanbase who knows anything about spreading the word of pop, it’s Carly Rae Jepsen’s. The epic saxophone intro of ‘Run Away with Me’ gave birth to #RunAwaywithMeme and was, without a doubt, the peak of the now-defunct social media platform Vine.

Did we forget to mention, #BuyCutToTheFeelingoniTunes?

Dua Lipa gave us some INCREDIBLE career advice about being a singer and you NEED to hear it

Fancy a career in music? Of course, you do! After all, belting out tracks by all your fave artists sounds like the dream gig, right?!

In fact… if you ask us, it’s the job that we were MADE for!

Okay, let’s put the silliness aside for a minute or two. On a slightly, more serious note, there’s no denying that trying to break into the music industry is tough.

Up-and-coming musicians are everywhere nowadays. Plus we can’t help but feel a little bit of sheer luck is needed to become ‘the next big thing’.

That said, a job as a singer is totally doable. If you don’t believe us, just ask, Dua Lipa. We recently caught up with the popstar about her empowering new album, which sounds something like this…

Incredible, right?

As a website that also likes to empower young people, we took the opportunity to ask Dua Lipa for some tips and advice for teenagers who dream of having their music in the charts someday.

Unsurprisingly, her advice was brilliant. Here’s what she said.

“Well my advice would be to set your intentions on your goals and to never lose site of them. Also work really, really hard,” she told Maximum Pop! “There are going to be so many times where you’re going to find yourself a bit confused and want to give up in a way, but don’t do it! Keep going, because if you’re very persistent and you work hard and believe in your art, there will be a way and you’ll make it work – absolutely.”

Not sure about you guys, but this is giving us all those epic ‘you got this!’ feels. It makes the dream feel soooooo much more achievable.

It’s not the first the pair have collaborated. Ed wrote Rita a song called ‘Us’ in 2015 but it never got released.

Hopefully this time we get to hear what the pair get up to in the studio!

This week, Ed shared the video for his latest single ‘Galway Girl’.

Shot in Galway Girl on Ireland’s West coast this month the video features actress Saoirse Ronan.

The video is shot from Ed’s perspective as he walks off on stage and ends up in a rowdy pub before taking to the streets with Saoirse.

Before You Roast Zayn Malik Over That GoFundMe Page, Here’s The Story Behind It

When Zayn Malik attempted to help his mom’s best friend with her medical expenses, by spreading the word about her GoFundMe page, he was met with surprise criticism.

Unfortunately this good deed backfired in a matter of minutes, with some fans wondering why he didn’t pay for it himself.

Tired of the negative comments he was receiving, Ayesha explained why Zayn shared the link in the first place.

I asked my “nephew” Zayn Malik to drum up some publicity for me, by way of hilightning my page and illness via Twitter. This has had an adverse effect for him as the spiteful trolls are attacking him for his kindness.

And there was actually a really good reason why Zayn didn’t come out of pocket to cover the medical expenses himself: Ayesha asked him not to.

“Never, ever would I ask him for financial help in any way, and I wouldn’t want it any other way. My request was for him to enlighten the public of my sad plight and he did exactly as I asked. So come on all you trolls, give him a break please and let’s just get on with the fundraising.”

Despite the naysayers, Zayn has spread the word to nearly 22 million fans and Ayesha has already raised over €15K.

And that’s awesome!

Fans think they’ve figured out the name of Cheryl and Liam’s son

Fans of Cheryl and Liam Payne have been quite frankly having a bit of a meltdown over the fact they think they have figured out the biggest mystery since how did life on earth begin, just what is the name of their new baby boy?

According to the website famousbirthdays.com the baby’s name has been listed as Taylor Payne. This might just be some elaborate joke but Liam did say in an interview a few years back that male or female he wanted to call his first child Taylor as he loved the name.

Of course there’s been no confirmation from either camp about whether this is the little ones name, however they are running out of time to register.

Here’s a look back at the news the notoriously private couple have shared about their little one…

Cheryl and Liam broke the news that they’d welcomed their first child together on Saturday 25th March by posting an adorable snap of baby Payne in his daddy’s arms.

The former Girls Aloud singer shared details about her new arrival and confirmed he was born on Wednesday 22nd March, weighing 7lb 9.

She wrote, ‘On Wednesday 22nd March Liam and I became parents to an incredibly beautiful, healthy baby boy, weighing 7lb 9 and looking like a dream. Although he still doesn’t have a name he is already stealing hearts. We are all madly in love and overwhelmingly happy with our little arrival. Happy Mother’s Day to all the mothers around the world. A day that now has a different meaning to me forever 💙’

Sharing less details about his son and more about his own feelings, Liam admitted he was ‘speechless’ and told fans it was his ‘favourite memory’ from his life so far.

He wrote, ‘My close friends and family know there are very few times when I’m left speechless… wow!’

‘I’m incredibly happy to welcome our new baby boy into the world, it’s a moment that I will never forget for the rest of my life and my favourite memory I have so far.’

‘I’m completely in awe of his incredible mother and how she has been the whole way through this, she’s really made my dreams come true. We haven’t named him yet but he’s already capturing hearts including mine. I feel very blessed.’

‘Happy Mother’s Day everyone!’

Despite Cheryl staying quiet since the birth, proud dad Liam couldn’t resist updating fans on how he was finding fatherhood not long after the birth.

In a tweet composed at 2.31am, Liam shared a hilarious gif of Ross from TV show Friends shouting “NO! No, no!” alongside the caption, ‘When the fourth nappy happens in 5 minutes’.

The ‘History’ singer also thanked fans and friends for all of their messages of support for the couple.

Fans thought they were given the first glimpse of the little one in April when Cheryl’s hair stylist Daya Ruci uploaded a snap of a newborn baby to his Snapchat account.

Of course fans were quick to speculate if the baby in the snap was baby Payne as it was reported Daya had been with

Cheryl over the Easter weekend.

Despite this, it was never confirmed and both Cheryl and Liam have since not shared any snaps of their little one!

Just a few weeks after welcoming his son with Cheryl, Liam flew out to America to reportedly put the final touches to his debut solo album. The former One Direction has since kept fans updated on his Instagram account.

Drake responds to model’s claim she’s pregnant with his baby

Drake’s team have responded to claim’s model Layla Lace is pregnant with his baby.

Earlier in the week, Layla posted on Instagram that she was pregnant with Drizzy’s baby after meeting him when he was in London for his Boy Meets World Tour.

However, sources close to Drizzy have told TMZ ‘ He’s never even met her’. Layla has since deleted her Instagram account, deleting all her claims in the process. With Drake’s team believing ‘he did it for attention and when people talked about her there was no need to keep the posts up.’

Not cool Layla! 👎

Drake is believed to currently be dating 19 year old UK singer Jorja Smith.

According to a national newspaper,Drake even visited Jorja in her West Midlands hometown of Walsall back in February, where the pair were spotted buying sweets in her local Co-op!

Sprarks got flying when Jorja worked with Drizzy on his ‘More Life’ album. Her vocals appear on track ‘Get It Together’ and she gets a starring moment on ‘Jorja Interlude’.

The pair have since been showing the love to each other on Instagram, with Jorja posting up a pic with the Drake lyrics ‘this Virgina done me off already’ as the caption.

Drake brought Jorja out on stage during the London and Birmingham gigs of his ‘Boy Meets World Tour’.

Kygo and Selena Gomez drop the emotional music video for ‘It Ain’t Me’

It’s been a long time coming, but finally Kygo and Selena Gomez have dropped their music video for ‘It Ain’t Me’, which was released back in February.

Kygo announced the release of the music video on Twitter earlier today.

Neither Kygo or Selena appear in the music video, however it a truly emotional and traumatic video!

The music video features a couple who have a motorbike accident, leaving the boyfriend seriously ill in hospital. As he is left hooked up to all the monitors his girlfriend keeps a vigil at his bedside.

However, while the couple are recovering in the hospital, it seems there is an alternate reality with the pair walking through a tunnel, ending up on a forest lit by small lights.

Pink makes comeback on Stargate’s track with Sia, ‘Waterfall’

The music video for Pink and Sia’s long-awaited collaboration ‘Waterfall’ has finally been released, and it’s pretty incredible.

The two talented ladies have teamed up with songwriting duo Stargate for the catchy track, which has a video starring a couple of hugely talented aerial acrobats spinning upside-down and doing some impressive splits and dancing.

Stargate – made up of Mikkel Storeleer Erikson and Tor Erik Hermansen – have written a massive 11 UK number one singles between them, including Beyoncé’s ‘Irreplaceable’ and Rihanna’s hits ‘Don’t Stop the Music’ and ‘Diamonds’.

They also scored number ones with Billie Piper, Blue and Hear’Say, which is just the best in ’90s nostalgia.

Outside of music, Sia has been making her feelings very clear about President Trump and his immigration ban.

The singer recently pledged to match donations to the American Civil Liberties Union of up to $100,000 to “stand up to Trump” following his ban, which is very generous of her.

“Help our queer & immigrant friends,” she said on Twitter. “Send me your donation receipts for the @aclu & I will match up to $100K. #RESIST.”

And if the above video has reminded you how much you like Pink, you should know she’s returning to the UK in the summer as a headliner for V Festival alongside Jay-Z – her first time in 10 years on the stage.
